body.
We all have so many different strengths, weaknesses, and talents… isn’t it funny how different everyone is? I even think of my husband, he writes financial plans, talks about money, and helps individuals plan for their retirement. I have to tell you, that sounds awful to me… but he LOVES it.
I am reminded of I Corinthians 12.
15 Now if the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason stop being part of the body. 16 And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason stop being part of the body. 17 If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? 18 But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. 19 If they were all one part, where would the body be? 20 As it is, there are many parts, but one body.

I saw this in action this week as our dear friend, Daniel, moved into a new place. Our entire small group from church showed up to help him move. There were about 15 of us in total! Some carrying boxes, some watching the kids, some cooking dinner, some cleaning the bathrooms, and some putting together beds. It was such a cool feeling to watch the body in action.
Are you plugged into a community that allows you to be a part of something bigger than yourself? Do you know what your talent it? If you are a foot, are you trying to act like a mouth?
