One of my dearest and most beautiful friends came and spent the weekend with me in Akron. Meet Carmen Cupples!
She brought her 14 month daughter Channing with her, and we had an absolute blast. Shopping, cooking, laughing, stories, playing outside, and crafts… I was a happy girl. Here we are sharing dinner on our back porch.
Carmen is 4 years older than me and someone who helped form me into the person I am. She is such a lover of Christ, and has challenged me in big ways since we met when I was 18. It’s incredible all of the truth she has spoken into my life throughout the past years, and I am thankful for every moment we are together.
Do you have someone like that in your life? Someone you look up to that challenges you with the Lord’s truth?
I always joke that Carmen “lived my life before me”. She is also a social worker, graduated from Bluffton, and spent a semester at Focus Leadership Institute in Colorado… but she did everything 4 years before me.
